This is a methodology workshop specific to teaching Oral Anatomy. The course presenter does not teach you oral anatomy in this class. Those who attend this course are expected to know the subject and be interested in exploring innovating methods of teaching it. This course includes the entire contents of the Oral Anatomy course for dental assisting and dental hygiene students. The course includes the course manual, syllabus, power point presentations, class activities, course projects, case based quizzes and exams. The entire course is placed in electronic format and accessible by flash drive that is provided with the course. ( A copyright agreement must be signed to receive the course flash drive). The instructor will direct course attendees in the methods of teaching Oral Anatomy to students. Ways of simplifying the complex topics of the subject matter are clearly explained so that seasoned and novice educators will be well prepared to deliver the information in their own courses. The course can be applied in conjunction with any of the Oral Anatomy textbooks currently available for dental assisting and dental hygiene education.
