This workshop provides credentialing for radiology educators of dental, dental assisting and dental hygiene students in accredited programs. The twenty-four hour workshop includes all teaching methods and course materials necessary for teaching a state of the art radiology course in all dental and allied dental programs. Group activities are provided to compliment the corresponding lecture component and provide practical understanding of theoretical concepts and their application to dental radiography. All radiology topics are included along with dental radiology curriculum design and sequencing, assessing competency in radiography, teaching strategies to help make teaching various “theoretical principles” understandable to students from a wide variety of educational backgrounds.  This workshop deals with a wide range of topics with some group participation & discussion.  A lot of “How do you teach…”  “What do you do if/when….” types of issues.  Making radiation physics fun and other challenges. The course will include a hands-on component for teaching placement of sensors in digital radiography. Each attendee will receive a Flash drive loaded with all materials needed to teach radiology. This workshop is 24 hours to include the additional material necessary for the current comprehensive radiology science information required for those teaching this subject. If you decide to take other courses offered at the same time, you will only be given ceu’s for the time you were in the Radiology Educator’s Workshop and ceu’s for the other courses you are attending. You must pay full tuition for both or all courses in which you are registered.

(This class limited to 30 participants)

All attendees must provide their personal email address when they register so we can confirm and send camp information to them. School emails block our list serv. So PLEASE send attendee’s personal email.

Course flash drives will ONLY be given out to those who attend the courses. Those who miss class for any reason will not be given the course flash drive. The materials belong to the college or university that pays the tuition, not the attendee.

A word about our course flash drives and materials.

We do not sell the course flash drives and/or materials separately. They are only received after completing the “How to Teach” subject specific course. This is our policy since ownership of the course flash drive and materials copyright agreement and course certification are proof to CODA that the recipient did indeed attend the methodology classroom session. Having the materials alone could be misconstrued as meeting Standard 3-7 since CODA usually recognizes our course materials and associates them with the face to face instruction that demonstrates compliance with the standard.
