About Cindy Biron Leiseca, President of DH Methods of Education, Inc.

Cindy Biron Leiseca was Professor & Chair of the Tallahassee Community College Dental Health Programs from 1993- 2009. In addition to her administrative duties as chairperson, she has taught clinical dental hygiene, dental hygiene theory, medical emergencies and allied health pharmacology.  She has taught continuing education courses throughout the United States and Europe for private practitioners and dental educators.  Mrs. Leiseca has over twentyfive years of sound, hands on experience in private practice, emergency medicine and dental professions education.  She received an A.S. Degree in Dental Hygiene from New Hampshire Technical Institute, a B.A. degree in Medical Technology and Human Biology from Notre Dame College in NH,  a certification as an Emergency Medical Technician from the University of Texas Health Science Center, and an M.A. in Adult Higher Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  She has taught at several community colleges in the nation and at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  Mrs. Leiseca is a contributing author to the textbooks, “Fundamentals of Periodontal Instrumentation”, by Jill S. Nield-Gehrig,  “Clinical Practice of the Dental Hygienist" by Esther Wilkins, and is co-author of “Dental Office Medical Emergencies” with Meiller, Wynn, and Crossley.  Mrs. Leiseca has served as a columnist and consulting editor for RDH Magazine.

 

She has produced two instructional DVD's "Precision in Periodontal Instrumentation", and "A Focus on Fulcrums".  

 

More recently Mrs. Leiseca has become well known for her computerized grading system for dental assisting and dental hygiene, "TalEval". She has also had great success with her "Summer & Winter Camps" on teaching methodology and periodontal instrumentation offered at Tallahassee CC, Nova Southeastern U., Salt Lake CC, Harrisburg Area CC, Miami Lakes, Orlando, The University of Tennessee at Memphis, Community College of Southern Nevada (Winter Camp - Las Vegas 2007), Summer Camp 2007 Mesa Community College, AZ. Winter Camps 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Jacksonville, FL, and Summer Camp 2008 , and 2009, Boston.

 

 

A message from Cindy Biron Leiseca, President of DH Methods of Education, Inc.

I am extremely grateful to all who have made 2009 the year of the highest business

volume for this corporation that includes, “The Boot Camps”, “TalEval Computerized Grading”, “Precision in Periodontal Instrumentation DVD’s” and college consulting services. Due to the increased volume in business, my position as part-time president of this corporation shall be full-time effective January 1, 2010. I have resigned from my position as Chair & Professor of the Dental Health Programs at Tallahassee CC as of December 31, 2009, so that I can devote all my time to the corporation, and expand on the services needed by you, the dental educators.

 

There will be 3-4 Boot Camps per year, flexibility for providing TalEval in-services at your schools, and the production of a second edition of “Precision in Periodontal Instrumentation DVD’s.  There will be a quarterly newsletter delivered to your schools to keep you informed of the services and topics of concern.
