that helps dental assisting and dental hygiene faculty members prepare for accreditation site visits. The instructors in our
workshops have been extremely successful in preparing their own self-study documents and they are here to share the methods

About Cindy Biron Leiseca, President
of DH Methods of Education, Inc.
Cindy Biron Leiseca is chairperson of the Tallahassee Community College
Dental Health Programs. In addition to her administrative duties as chairperson, she teaches clinical dental hygiene, dental
hygiene theory, medical emergencies and allied health pharmacology. She has taught
continuing education courses throughout the United States and Europe for private practitioners and dental educators. Mrs. Leiseca has over twenty years of sound, hands on experience in private practice,
emergency medicine and dental professions education. She received an A.S. Degree
in Dental Hygiene from New Hampshire Technical Institute, a B.A. degree in Medical Technology and Human Biology from Notre
Dame College in NH, a certification as an Emergency Medical Technician from the University of Texas Health Science
Center, and an M.A. in Adult Higher Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
She has taught at several community colleges in the nation and at The University of Texas Health Science Center at
San Antonio. Mrs. Leiseca is a contributing author to the textbooks, “Fundamentals
of Periodontal Instrumentation”, by Jill S. Nield-Gehrig, “Clinical Practice of the Dental
Hygienist" by Esther Wilkins, and is co-author of “Dental Office Medical Emergencies” with Meiller,
Wynn, and Crossley. Mrs. Leiseca has served as a columnist and consulting
editor for RDH Magazine.
More recently Mrs. Leiseca has become well known for the "Summer
& Winter Camps" on teaching methodology and periodontal instrumentation offered at Tallahassee CC, Nova Southeastern U.,
Salt Lake CC, Harrisburg Area CC, Miami Lakes, Orlando, The University of Tennessee at Memphis, Community College of
Southern Nevada (Winter Camp - Las Vegas 2007), Summer Camp 2007 Mesa Community College, AZ. Winter Camps 2007, 2008
and 2009 Jacksonville, FL, and Summer Camp 2008 Boston.
